Other more active pursuits can be enjoyed in this area such as horse riding, cycling, walking, fishing, swimming, surfing, sailing etc.

Hoburne have extended  and landscaped areas of the Park to accommodate new static caravans.  The Park is well landscaped and very relaxing and pleasant to stroll around at any time of year.  There is always a splash of colour in the spring and summer months with all the planters brimming with flowers to please the eye.  There is an abundance of wildlife on the Park from deer which live in the woods to the ferrell cats which live on Bashley and keep any vermin away.  Being a woodland setting there are many species of wild birds to see also.  Quite often a woodpecker can be heard and seen often close to the caravans along with the squirrels.  There is a large colony of rooks on the Park which keep the seagulls away.

Being located on the edge of the New Forest there are many walks that can be taken from the Park or from the public car parks throughout the Forest.  Being one of the few parks that allow dogs, Bashley owners are privileged to be able to enjoy this beautiful area with their dogs.

There are many special events that take place throughout the year at Bashley Park.  The first of which is our American week being held during the second week of June.  There are cowboys and indians, the north and south staging battles on the playing field.  They set up a pioneers camp and indian village with their wigwams.  We are visited each year by the Classic American Car Club who parade their splendid cars around the park.  In the evenings the Club hosts American style entertainment.  A really great week to stay at Bashley.

At the end of the year 2 fireworks weekends are held the second and third weekends of November.  There is a huge bonfire on the playing field with a really great firework display.  Then you can wander around the touring field to see the tourers decked in their Xmas lights.  This is a spectacle held each year not to be missed.
